Eric Miller is a full-time and freelance graphic designer with over 10 years of experience working in various industries. He runs his own freelance business, Eric Miller Design, and works as the Web designer for BMI. Most recently, Eric was nominated for a Webby Award, one of the industry's top honors.

Eric Miller Design focuses on print and Web design. Over ten years of work with a variety of clients, ranging from MasterCard to the Black Eyed Peas, has given Eric a great deal of experience with the business side of design. This has also given him the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects, including posters, book design, CD packaging, advertisements, logo design and websites. Since 1999, Eric has been the web designer for Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI). In this role, he has served as the primary designer for BMI's website as well as a number of sister sites, giving Eric over 8 years of experience working as an in-house designer for a large company. BMI.com features a monthly new music podcast, hundreds of streaming video clips, and resources for BMI's 350,000 songwriters.

Eric's background includes a BA in communication and marketing, as well as many computer, art, and design classes at New York University and elsewhere.

What makes graphic design great is taking other people's passions and creating their ideal online or print experience. In my freelance business I've had the opportunity to do this by working with a lot of interesting clients, from photographers to musicians to accountants. During the day, I've been able to combine my love for design and music by working at BMI. My goal as the graphic design guide is to help designers realize and utilize that passion, and deal with the business side of design.
